Disadvantages of the Mercedes M264 engine
Low-octane gasoline detonation has already resulted in cases of piston damage.
A few instances of extremely costly Camtronic system repairs are reported even on specialized forums.
Engine speed varies and carbon deposits build up on the intake valves due to the direct injection flaw.
BSG 48V glitches have also been the subject of multiple complaints; it is discharged and refuses to be charged.
