Engine Mitsubishi 3G83

From 1990 until 2014, the company produced the 0.7-liter, three-cylinder Mitsubishi 3G83 engine, which was fitted on well-known kei vehicles like the eK Sport, eK Wagon, Minica, Minicab, and Toppo. A unique cylinder head with five valves per cylinder set the supercharged version of this unit apart.

Disadvantages of the Mitsubishi 3G83 engine

The most well-known issue with this motor is the oil burner because of rings;
Even with a short drive and low oil level, the crankshaft liners rotate;
Maintain a clean cooling system to prevent the gasket from overheating;
Because the timing belt bends the valves when it breaks, check its condition more frequently;
Additionally, the engine’s fuel system and catalyst cannot withstand subpar gasoline.
