Since 2010, the company has been producing the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Nissan HR12DE engine, also known as HR12, which powers well-known company models like the Micra, Serena, Note, and Datsun Go +. The e-Power sequential hybrid powertrain also makes use of this engine.

Disadvantages of the HR12DE engine
Although people frequently complain about excessive vibrations on the forums, this motor is dependable;
Contamination of the throttle or injector is the primary cause of floating speed;
The mass air flow sensor rapidly malfunctions when using a cheap air filter;
The fuel pump in the tank and the ignition unit relay are the engine’s weak points;
Additionally, since there are no hydraulic lifters here, remember to adjust the valve clearances.
