In addition to being installed on commercial vehicles, Caravan minibuses, and the Terrano SUV, the TD27T was assembled between 1985 and 2007. This power unit comes in four different versions: TD27T1, TD27T2, TD27T3, and TD27T4.

The popular Caravan minibus and the Mistral or Terrano 2 SUV were equipped with the TD27Ti, which was manufactured in Japan between 1990 and 2007.

The TD23, TD25, TD27ETi, and TD42 internal combustion engines are part of the TD series.

The engine was mounted on:

  • Nissan Caravan E24 in 1986 – 2001;
  • Nissan Homy E24 in 1986 – 2001;
  • Nissan Mistral R20 in 1996 – 2006 (TD27Ti);

Disadvantages of the TD27 engine

Although the engine has a lot of resources, few people enjoy vibration and noise;
The valve timing is off after 250,000 kilometers because of wear on the timing gears;
The pump or the gear block gasket starts to flow around the same run;
The only part of the motor’s electrical system that occasionally malfunctions is the oil pressure sensor.
The jumpers between the vortex chambers crack as a result of poor fuel detonation.
