From 2007 to 2010, the German company manufactured the Porsche M48.51, a 4.8-liter turbocharged engine that was mounted in the rear of the 957 on a redesigned version of the original Cayenne crossover. The unit has two boost levels: 500 horsepower for the Turbo modification and 550 horsepower for the Turbo S.

Disadvantages of the Porsche M48.51 engine
Bullying issues do exist here, but they are not as prevalent as they once were;
Overheating, operating a cold engine, or using faulty oil or gasoline are the culprits.
Coolant pipes and the expansion tank frequently burst and leak;
Fuel pumps in the tank and injection pump delivery systems are very problematic;
The pump, ignition coils, and hot section of the turbines frequently break.
