Disadvantages of the 2ZR-FXE engine
The majority of grievances regarding this engine have something to do with lubricant usage;
Everything is caused by the thin oil scraper rings, which are already located at 80,000 km;
The EHR module heat exchanger frequently leaks coolant;
Burnout of the cylinder head gasket occurs frequently in the range of 1-2 or 3-4 cylinders;
The water pump and camshaft sprockets are the engines in this series’ weak points.
