Disadvantages of the VW BKS engine
The engine’s intake manifold flaps can jam even before 100,000 kilometers of operation; the CR Bosch system’s erratic piezo injectors cause a lot of issues;
The timing chain resource is between 200,000 and 300,000 kilometers long, and replacement is expensive;
The car just stalls when the injection pump belt breaks, but it only lasts for 100,000 kilometers;
The EGR valve and diesel particulate filter are frequently totally clogged at high mileage.
