From 2005 to 2009, the company produced the 1.4-liter Volkswagen BMY 1.4 TSI engine, which was fitted to the fifth generation of the Golf, Jetta, and a small MPV based on their Touran. The KKK K03 turbine and the Eaton TVS compressor set this power unit apart.

CBZA, CBZB, BMY, BWK, CAVA, CAVD, CAXA, CDGA, and CTHA are all part of the EA111-TSI series.

Disadvantages of the VW BMY engine
Bad fuel is not tolerated by this engine, and soot quickly overgrows the intake valves.
Pistons frequently burn out here due to detonation, so it is preferable to replace them with forged ones.
Rings typically lie down and oil consumption starts after 100–150 thousand kilometers.
The turbocharger’s wastegate and control valve are unreliable.
Rarely does the timing chain resource travel more than 100,000 kilometers; occasionally, it travels only half that distance.
Antifreeze leaks, which typically occur in the intercooler area, are another complaint from owners.
Periodic vibrations during cold start are an unpleasant aspect of the device.
