Disadvantages of the VW CCZA engine

Piston rings are the primary cause of the owners’ complaints regarding the oil burner;
Lubricant consumption can be reduced by replacing the original pistons with forged ones;
Additionally, the timing chain is removed here rather quickly – sometimes even before 100,000 kilometers;
Engine coking and unstable operation are caused by persistent oil burnout;
The presence of gasoline in the oil determines a breakdown, and the high-pressure fuel pump has a limited resource;
Ignition coils frequently malfunction, particularly when candles are being replaced.
