Engine Peugeot DV5RC

The most potent engine in a new family of diesel engines with the DV5 index, the 1.5-liter 16-valve Peugeot DV5RC BlueHDI 130, was first introduced in 2017. Many of the French company’s contemporary mid-size models have it installed.

Disadvantages of the DV5RC engine

There are no failure statistics available anywhere, even though all of these diesel engines are still covered under warranty.
Fuel quality is typically required by the common rail system with piezo injectors.
An intricate exhaust gas treatment system is implied by the BlueHDi nameplate.
Keep an eye on the timing belt’s condition because expensive repairs result from its breakage.
