Disadvantages of the DV5RD engine

Since this diesel engine has only recently been introduced, statistics regarding its malfunctions have not yet been gathered.
Currently, the fast contamination of the EGR valve is the main cause of complaints.
Bad diesel fuel and infrequent filter replacements are intolerable to fuel equipment.
Regular AdBlue refills are necessary for all BlueHDi engines.
Keep a close eye on the timing belt’s condition; if it breaks, costly repairs are in store.
