The Speedster sports car and OPC versions of well-known models like the Astra and Zafira were equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo Opel Z20LET or L70, which was manufactured in Germany between 2000 and 2005. The motor was split into three versions following the 2005 update: Z20LEL, Z20LER, and Z20LEH.

The engines Z22SE, Z22YH, Z24SED, Z28NET, and Z32SE are also members of the Z family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra G (T98) in 2000 – 2005;
- Opel Speedster A (E01) in 2003 – 2005;
- Opel Zafira A (T98) in 2001 – 2004.

Disadvantages of the Z20LET engine
The exhaust manifold frequently cracks here, but it can typically be welded; oil seals are thought to be the engine’s weak point and frequently need to be replaced;
The valves bend 100% when the timing belt breaks, which is intended to last 60,000 kilometers. Other minor issues include frequent oil leaks from beneath the valve cover.
