Disadvantages of the Alfa Romeo 960A1000 engine

This turbo engine has no unique issues and is highly dependable for such power;
Here, fuel is injected directly, and soot quickly overgrows the intake valves;
The lubricant change schedule has a significant impact on the turbine and hydraulic compensators’ resources;
Every 60,000 kilometers, the timing belt needs to be changed; if it breaks, the valves will bend. When driving very actively, oil consumption can frequently reach one liter per 1000 kilometers.
