Produced between 2005 and 2011, the 1.4-liter 16-valve Fiat 199A6000, also known as the StarJet engine, was exclusively fitted to the Grande Punto until it underwent a second redesign and was renamed Punto. The comparable Alfa Romeo MiTo from the early years of production also had this power unit.

Disadvantages of the Fiat 199A6000 engine
The most well-known issue with this motor is the oil burner because of the rings.
Additionally, oil consumption and throttle contamination are caused by the antiquated crankcase ventilation system.
The phase regulator on the exhaust shaft may crack severely due to inadequate lubrication.
The fuel pump, starter, and ignition coils are this unit’s weak points.
