From 1995 to 2004, the company produced the 3.5-liter gasoline V6 Honda C35A engine, which was fitted to the third generation Legend model or its equivalent, known as the Acura RL. This motor underwent five modifications, all of which were fairly similar to one another.

The engines in the C series are the C27A, C30A, C32A, and C35A.
The engine was mounted on:
- Acura RL 1 (KA) in 1995 – 2004;
- Honda Legend 3 (KA9) in 1995 – 2004.

Disadvantages of the Honda C35A engine
Despite its high fuel consumption, this engine is renowned for its dependability;
Oil leaks from beneath the valve covers are the primary issues for owners;
The ignition coils will need to be replaced if grease enters the candle wells; balancer belts and lambda probes are comparatively inexpensive;
A progressive oil burn typically starts on runs longer than 200,000 km.
