From 1989 to 1998, the 2.0-liter Honda G20A gasoline engine was manufactured in Japan and fitted to several of the company’s large models, including the Ascot, Rafaga, Saber, Inspire, and Vigor. A widely accepted legend states that this power unit was developed based on a Formula 1 car engine.

The G25A internal combustion engine is another model in the G-series.
