Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6AU engine
The engine’s primary issues stem from the assembly’s and its parts’ poor quality;
Numerous instances of liners turning on a 50,000 km run are reported on specialized forums;
An oil burn of one liter per thousand kilometers or more typically occurs by 100,000 kilometers;
The engine speed frequently floats because of contamination of the throttle, idle speed controller, or injectors; hydraulic lifters and belt tensioners are not very large resources.
