Disadvantages of the Hyundai G6DT engine
The engine is commended on specialized forums for its moderate fuel consumption and respectable traction.
This engine, like all aluminum V6 engines, fears overheating, so pay attention to cooling.
Although there haven’t been any complaints about the oil burner yet, this family of engines is generally prone to it.
The cylinder head has hydraulic lifters, so valve clearance adjustment is not necessary.
