Disadvantages of the Isuzu 4JJ1 engine

This diesel engine is powerful and clever, but it also makes a lot of noise and vibrates a lot.
Although the Denso fuel system is very dependable, it requires high-quality diesel fuel.
Although the timing chain has a long lifespan, its hydraulic tensioner can already fail after 200,000 kilometers.
After cleaning the EGR valve, this power unit’s numerous issues are resolved.
Since there are no hydraulic lifters here, you must periodically adjust the valves.
