The D0836 series’ MAN engines are intercooled, four-stroke, vertical, direct injection turbocharged diesel engines. These models employ a common high-pressure fuel line and a positive displacement high-pressure pump to supply fuel to the injectors that inject fuel into the engine’s cylinders (Common-Rail system). The engine has an external controlled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system and a two-stage turbocharger to meet the EURO-4 environmental standard.
