The OM626 is an in-line diesel engine with four cylinders. 1.6-liter displacement, DOHC, (dual) turbocharging, intercooler, common rail direct injection, piezo injectors, and four valves per cylinder. Aluminum cylinder head and cast iron block. for automobiles that have a longitudinal power unit.
An EGR system is installed in the engine. After passing through the particle filter and cooling, the outlet gases are fed back into the compressor. A selective neutralizer (SCR) is used for subsequent treatment. The engine satisfies the Euro-6 environmental standard because of this and other solutions.
