From 2000 to 2005, the Opel Y20DTH or LBS 2.0-liter diesel engine was manufactured and fitted to the company’s well-known models, including the Astra, Vectra, Signum, and Zafira. This power unit was basically an X20DTH index Euro 3 version of the popular motor.

The engines Y17DT, Y22DTH, and Y22DTR are also members of the Y family.
The engine was mounted on:
- Opel Astra G (T98) in 2000 – 2004;
- Opel Signum A (Z03) in 2003 – 2004;
- Opel Vectra B (J96) in 2000 – 2002; Vectra C (Z02) in 2002 – 2004;
- Opel Zafira A (T98) in 2000 – 2005.

Disadvantages of the Y20DTH engine
There is a connection between the Bosch VP44 injection pump failures and the engine’s primary issues;
The electrical component typically malfunctions, such as when the control transistor burns out;
The oil may mix with diesel fuel because the gaskets beneath the nozzles are drying out;
Swirl flaps in the intake manifold wedge are caused by oily deposits; additionally, remember to clean the EGR valve and particulate filter on a regular basis.
