The European version of the first generation SX4 crossover was equipped with a 1.9-liter Suzuki D19AA or 1.9 DDiS diesel engine from 2006 to 2009, but only prior to restyling. In essence, this motor is a variation of the widely used Fiat 1.9 JTD unit.

Fiat family diesels: D13AA, D16AA, D19AA, and D20AA.

Disadvantages of the D19AA engine
The Bosch fuel system with electromagnetic injectors has a long service life; the high-pressure fuel pump’s dosing valve occasionally clogs on extended runs; this is a very dependable diesel without swirl flaps that are problematic for this line;
After 200,000 kilometers, pouring nozzles can frequently cause vibrations. Additionally, the booster pump occasionally fails here, and the EGR valve sticks.
