Since 1981, a number of companies have produced the 0.8-liter Suzuki F8B engine, which is found in many low-cost Asian brands of small cars. The famous Daewoo Matiz 3-cylinder unit was based on this motor.

F-series engines include the F6A, F8B, F10A, and F10D.

Disadvantages of the Suzuki F8B engine
The most common topics of discussion on specialized forums are lubrication leaks and ignition system issues; the timing belt is meant to last 90,000 kilometers, but if it bursts earlier, the valves will bend 100%; low-quality fuel causes candles to fail quickly and nozzles to clog;
Every 30,000 kilometers, the valves are adjusted; hydraulic lifters are not used.
