Engine Suzuki G13BB

Suzuki’s 1.3-liter G13BB engine, best known for the Jimny SUV, was manufactured at the Japanese facility between 1995 and 2005 and fitted numerous of the company’s compact models. This 16-valve SOHC engine is often mistaken for the Swift GTi’s comparable DOHC G13B engine.

Disadvantages of the Suzuki G13BB engine

The motor lasts a long time and is trouble-free if the owner forbids overheating;
If not, cracks develop in both the cylinder head and the block’s cooling jacket;
An oil burn starts closer to 150,000 km because of hardened valve stem seals;
The vagaries of this engine’s antiquated ignition system cause a lot of problems;
This location lacks hydraulic lifters, and valve clearances must be changed every 30,000 kilometers.
