Engine Volkswagen AZD

From 2000 to 2006, the company’s factory assembled the 1.6-liter Volkswagen AZD engine, which was mounted on several vehicles built on the popular Golf 4 model’s platform. An updated ignition system and a different ECU set this unit apart from the AUS predecessor.

Disadvantages of the VW AZD engine

Additionally, idle speeds frequently float in this area, mostly because of dirt on the throttle.
Low dependability is a feature of the cooling system; the thermostat and pipes are both leaking.
When the timing belt breaks, the intake valves are bent, and replacing it is rather costly.
Oil consumption frequently occurs during a 200,000 km run, but it is typically minimal.
