Disadvantages of the VW CDGA engine

This engine is terrified of low-quality fuel because it is built to run on gas.
Detonation frequently destroys pistons, and many just replace them with forged ones.
Compression drops and soot cover intake valves, even when fuel is of poor quality.
Replacing an unreliable timing chain accounts for a sizable portion of service station calls.
Both the wastegate and the electronic control valve in the turbine fail most frequently.
People frequently complain about antifreeze leaks and engine vibrations in cold weather on specialized forums.
