Engine Volkswagen BUB

The Volkswagen BUB 3.2 VR6 3.2-liter injection engine was manufactured between 2005 and 2010 and was fitted to the Audi A3 or TT coupe, as well as charged versions of the R32 Golf and Eos models. Some people mistake such a motor for an EA390 family VR6 FSI unit of comparable size.

Disadvantages of the VW BUB engine

First, the fuel consumption of the power units in this series is excessive; second, even though the oil consumption is lower than that of its predecessors, there are still enough complaints;
Timing chain replacement is challenging and costly due to its extremely limited resource;
One ignition coil failure is frequently the cause of the engine’s unstable operation;
The complex two-pump cooling system is not renowned for its dependability.
