Engine Alfa Romeo AR32310

Assembled between 2000 and 2010, the 2.0-liter Alfa Romeo AR32310 or 2.0 Twin Spark engine was fitted to the company’s well-known models with an index of 147, 156, GTV, and the comparable Spider. In essence, this power unit was a Euro 3 adaptation of the popular AR32301 motor.

Disadvantages of the Alfa Romeo AR32310 engine

Rapid cylinder wall wear and oil burn are the unit’s defining characteristics; the camshaft cams are rapidly erased as a result of the hydraulic lifters wedging;
Sensor failures, particularly those of the mass air flow and crankshaft position sensors, are the root cause of many issues;
Keep an eye on the balancer belt’s condition; if it breaks, it falls beneath the timing belt;
The phase regulator, the oil pump, and the intake’s VLIM system are the engine’s weak points.
