From 1994 to 2005, the 2.0-liter 16-valve Chrysler ECC or 420A engine was manufactured and fitted to numerous well-known concern models, including the Neon, Avenger, Sebring, and PT Cruiser. This motor came in a number of versions that differed greatly from one another.

Internal combustion engines such as EBD, ECB, ECH, EDT, EDZ, and EDV are also part of the Neon series.
The engine was installed on:
- Chrysler Neon 1 (SX) in 1994 – 1999;
- Chrysler Neon 2 (PL) in 1999 – 2005;
- Chrysler Sebring 1 (JX) in 1995 – 2000;
- Chrysler Sebring 2 (JR) in 2000 – 2003;
- Chrysler PT Cruiser 1 (PT) in 2000 – 2005;
- Dodge Avenger 1 Coupe (FJ) in 1994 – 2000;
- Dodge Neon 1 (SX) in 1994 – 1999;
- Eagle Talon 2 in 1995 – 1998;
- Mitsubishi Eclipse 2G in 1994 – 1999;
- Plymouth Neon 1 in 1994 – 1999.

Disadvantages of the ECC engine
This line’s internal combustion engine’s primary issue is thought to be overheating and cylinder head gasket failure;
Thus, keep an eye out for pipes, a thermostat that frequently cracks, and antifreeze leaks;
The timing belt resource of 100,000 km should not be overlooked; the valve bends when it breaks;
The fuel filter and injectors rapidly clog when using 92nd gasoline;
Oil leaks from oil seals and an oil burner are common on long runs.
