From 1993 to 2002, the company produced the 1.8-liter Honda F18B gasoline engine, which was fitted in the fifth and sixth generations of the widely used Accord model. There is only one version of the F18B motor, but it has different levels of forcing.

An injection version of Honda’s 1.8-liter F18 series engine is called the F18B. One of the flagship models in the Accord motor line was the power unit. The engine stands out for its good parameters, simplicity, lack of erratic electronic systems, recirculation, and other features that will be utilized later to satisfy environmental regulations.
Internal combustion engines F20A, F20B, F20C, F22B, and F23A are also part of the F-series.
The engine was installed on:
- Honda Accord 5 (CD) in 1993 – 1997;
- Honda Accord 6 (CG) in 1997 – 2002.

Disadvantages of the Honda F18B engine
The most common complaints from car owners are about coolant and lubricant leaks; after 100,000 to 150,000 kilometers, the oil here also starts to waste; the timing belt only lasts for 100,000 kilometers, and when it breaks, the valve typically bends;
The engine starts acting strangely as a result of contamination of the EGR and idle valves;
There are no hydraulic lifters, and valve clearances must be changed every 40,000 kilometers.
