Since 2009, a plant in Poland has been assembling the 1.3-liter Fiat 199B1000 or 1.3 Multijet engine, which is found in numerous models of the company, including the Panda, Punto, Alfa Romeo Mito, and Lancia Ypsilon. Under its A13DTE index, the same power unit was fitted to the Opel Astra J and Corsa D.

Disadvantages of the Fiat 199B1000 engine
This diesel engine frequently uses oil due to its highly active operation;
The timing chain lacks creativity, particularly its hydraulic tensioner;
Weaknesses include the mass air flow sensor, the EGR valve, and the turbine geometry change system; when the particulate filter burns, fuel can enter the oil and its level rises; and there are issues with starting in the winter due to freezing crankcase ventilation or engine control unit.
