From 1997 to 2006, the company produced the 1.0-liter 16-valve Suzuki K10A engine, which was fitted to export versions of the Wagon R model under the names Plus or Solio. Later iterations of this device had a turbocharger and an intake dephaser.

K-series engines include the K6A, K10A, K10B, K12B, K14C, K14B, and K15B.

Disadvantages of the Suzuki K10A engine
Bad fuel is not tolerated by this unit, and nozzles clog quickly;
Additionally, saving lubrication is not advised because the rings will lie down and the oil will start to burn;
The turbine typically operates for 100–150 thousand kilometers in supercharged engine modifications;
The engine’s thin timing chain and ignition coils are its weak points; there are no hydraulic lifters and the valve clearances need to be adjusted every 30,000 kilometers.
